This debate will be coordinated by Elias Ramos de Souza, from Finep, and will be attended by other experts such as Tony Chierighini, Romildo Toledo and Gesil Sampaio. Opening of the Event and Artificial Intelligence Plan
Inaugural Session
You should know that, on Tuesday, the 30th, the rector Sandra Goulart Almeida, as vice-president of Andifes, participated in the inaugural session of the CNCTI. The opening was attended by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Luciana Santos, and the event's secretary general, Sérgio Machado Resende.
Delivery of the Artificial Intelligence Plan
On the first day of the event, President Lula received the Brazilian Artificial Intelligence Plan (PIAB), prepared with the coordination of the National Science Council (CCT), of which Sandra Goulart is a member. This plan aims to put Brazil on par with other countries with advanced technological infrastructure, including the implementation of one of the five most powerful supercomputers in the world, powered by renewable energy. The objective is to develop advanced language models in Portuguese, promoting the country's cultural, social and linguistic autonomy and sovereignty.
